Abstract
The innovation project ProSpra differs from introductions to academic writing by working on a text from one's own field of study: students first write a text on a typical assignment from their field of study, which is then revised step by step. Writing assignments from two fields of study are used as examples: business studies and teacher training programmes. Other fields of study will follow, but students of other subjects can already benefit from how to connect independent thoughts with existing scientific findings in a systematic and methodologically controlled way. The project focused on the following questions: What educational language skills do students need at the beginning of their studies to deal with writing tasks they typically encounter in their field of study?
