Abstract
Schools in Germany have been closed nationwide twice so far due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This article focuses on the learner’s perspective based on the findings of an online survey of N = 396 students from different school types regarding the second school closures. The results of the survey show significant improvements in the structuring and organization of school-guided learning at home from the first to the second school closures. Furthermore, there are indications that characteristics of the home environment can predict students’ comprehension of tasks.
